From the bedrooms behind the blackened windows of Kabul, the bullet sprayed walls of Sarajevo, and the drowning cities along the Mississippi, come the voices of love and loss through Rania, an asylum seeker, Laila , a prostitute, Dahlia, a writer, and Susan. This will be the premiere of the solo performance based on the play. 'The Warzone is My Bed' premiered in New York at La MaMa, E.T.C. in October 2007 where it was developed. Scenes from the play have been presented at festivals, conferences, and theatres in the United States, the Czech Republic, and South Africa. Excerpts have been published in journals including the Spring 2008 issue of TDR: The Drama Review.
